More Goodwill Than Any “Legal” Website

We know these processes inside out — RTI timelines, CPGRAMS appeals, e-Jagriti filings, NHRC formats. Our associates have done this for years. You stay in control; we remove confusion.

🎯 Every click → real help

Portals link to official government sites. Stuck? One tap opens WhatsApp with your issue category pre-filled so we can guide you in minutes.

📱 Built for mobile India

Large touch targets, bottom quick-actions on Android & iPhone, simple menu — designed for someone filing a complaint on a ₹10,000 phone at midnight.

⚖️ Paralegal, not predator

We are not a law firm. We do not chase ambulance-fee cases. Optional paid support covers drafting and filing labour — priced below typical advocates because volume and goodwill matter more than extraction.

Who We Are — And Why We Exist

The Samaritan is the public face of a longer story. The roots run deeper: DnD.

D n D
Do Not Disturb the Aam Junta
We are awakened — so that ordinary citizens are left in peace to live, while injustice is confronted with clarity, not noise.

For years, our associates have done the unglamorous work that actually moves democracies: deep research, patient documentation, and consistent, resilient effort aimed not at headlines but at policy. We have seen rules shift — sometimes inch by inch, sometimes after years — because someone refused to treat fatigue as defeat. That is the spirit behind our name. DnD is not indifference; it is a promise to the aam junta: we will not add to your disturbance. We will stand in the gap so you are not alone against systems that were never designed to feel kind on the first visit.

There is no people more historically awakened and spiritual than Indians — at home and across the diaspora. That consciousness is not abstract. It is the same force that sustains families through decades of paperwork, the same dignity that walks into a government office with hope despite yesterday’s silence. We honour that. The Samaritan is simply how we serve today: a hand on the map, a voice on WhatsApp, a shield when the path turns hostile.

Much of what you navigate is still shaped by colonial-era procedure and inherited bias — forms that confuse, timelines that exhaust, and mechanisms that are legally available yet emotionally brutal. The Constitution and successive laws gave you RTI, consumer commissions, CPGRAMS, NHRC, e-Jagriti, and more. The judiciary and government redressal channels exist; they are not fiction. But the journey is almost always prolonged and fatiguing. That is not your failure. That is the texture of systemic change. And it is precisely through thousands of such journeys — filed, appealed, tracked, reopened — that the machine slowly learns to bend toward justice.

If you have conviction, we are with you. Move with integrity, and the universe has a way of tagging along — not as magic, but as momentum gathered one truthful step at a time.

We are not anti-government. We are for government — for the republic you already fund and vote for — working better. When ideas from citizens are clear, evidence-backed, and politically literate, we have, at times, liaised with policymakers to help translate them into drafts, amendments, and administrative fixes that scale beyond a single complaint. The complaint you bring may be personal; the pattern it reveals may be national. We treat both with seriousness.

🛡️ Your sanity & anonymity

Minimal-cost support exists for sustenance, not profit — so we can keep doing this work and stay effective in policy arenas. Where needed, we help you proceed with discretion, reducing exposure to the backlash a few corrupt actors may try when challenged.

⚖️ Mechanisms, not miracles

We guide you through official portals and lawful escalation — RTI, grievance systems, commissions — so your fight remains defensible, documented, and hard to dismiss as “noise.”

🌱 Policy over posture

We care less about performative outrage and more about outcomes: a refund secured, a file reopened, a circular revised, a habit of accountability reinforced.

🤝 Conviction welcomed

Whether you are a student, a pensioner, a whistle-blower, or a professional with a spreadsheet of evidence — if you are willing to stay the course, we match your seriousness with ours.

Our pledge on fees

The first conversation is free. When you ask us to draft, file, or follow through, the modest fees we quote are calibrated for sustenance and effectiveness — not extraction. Government charges (RTI fees, court fees, stamps) are yours, paid directly to authorities; we do not mark them up. Our aim is that you leave the process with your sanity intact, your identity protected where possible, and your case positioned so the system must respond — while we continue the longer work of making such responses ordinary rather than exceptional.

What It Costs — Government vs The Samaritan

Government portals are free or nominal (e.g. RTI ₹10, e-Jagriti court fee by claim size). Our first consultation is always ₹0. You only pay if you ask us to do the paperwork — and even then, fees are set to cover associate time, not to maximize profit.

Paralegal — draft & file

₹499–₹2,499 typical
  • RTI / CPGRAMS / NCH complaint drafting
  • e-Jagriti document pack & upload assist
  • Evidence indexing & synopsis
  • vs ₹5,000–₹25,000+ many agents charge
Ask for a quote

Follow-through — escalation

On merit quote
  • First appeal / second appeal prep
  • Tracking, reminders, reopening CPGRAMS
  • Coordination with DLSA where eligible
  • Only when DIY + free tier are insufficient
Discuss escalation
Typical lawyer consultation: ₹2,000–₹10,000+  |  The Samaritan: free direction first, paid hands-on only if you choose — government fees paid by you directly to authorities, never marked up by us.

Frequently Asked Questions

Clear answers to the most common questions about filing grievances.

The Right to Information Act, 2005 gives every Indian citizen the right to request information from any Central or State Government public authority. You can file an RTI online at rtionline.gov.in for Central Government departments. The fee is ₹10 (BPL citizens are exempt). The Public Information Officer must reply within 30 days, or 48 hours for life-and-liberty matters.
NCH (National Consumer Helpline) at consumerhelpline.gov.in is for informal mediation — it connects you with the company and tries to resolve the issue. e-Jagriti at e-jagriti.gov.in (which replaced e-Daakhil in January 2025) is for formally filing a legal case in a Consumer Commission (Court). Use NCH first; if unresolved, escalate to e-Jagriti for a legally binding order including compensation.
NHRC does not entertain: (1) complaints more than 1 year old from the date of violation (unless exceptional circumstances), (2) personal disputes between private individuals, (3) matters that are already before another commission or court, and (4) anonymous complaints. NHRC deals with violations by the State or its agents (police, army, government officials).
If CPGRAMS closed your complaint unsatisfactorily, rate it "Poor" to activate the Appeal option. File an appeal with your Registration Number. If that also fails, you can approach the Directorate of Public Grievances (DPG) at Cabinet Secretariat for DPG-covered ministries. As a last resort, file an RTI to ask why your grievance was not resolved.
Immediately call 1930 (Cyber Crime Financial Fraud Helpline). Time is critical — early reporting can freeze the fraudster's account before the money is transferred further. Also file a complaint at cybercrime.gov.in. Simultaneously, report to your bank's 24×7 helpline and block the compromised account/card.
Yes. Under the Legal Services Authorities Act, 1987, free legal aid is a constitutional right for: SC/ST members, women and children, persons with disabilities, industrial workers, victims of trafficking, those in custody, and citizens with annual income below ₹3 lakh. Contact your District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) or visit nalsa.gov.in to apply.
For Central Government officials (MPs, Ministers, Group A officers), file a complaint at lokpalonline.gov.in (Lokpal of India). For state officials, approach the State Lokayukta. You must provide your identity (anonymous complaints are rejected) and concrete evidence of corruption. You can also file an RTI to expose misuse of public funds.
